SV	Voorwaar, de onderdrukking zou wel een wijze dol maken; en het geschenk verderft het hart.
WLC	כִּ֥י הָעֹ֖שֶׁק יְהֹולֵ֣ל חָכָ֑ם וִֽיאַבֵּ֥ד אֶת־לֵ֖ב מַתָּנָֽה׃
Trans.	kî hā‘ōšeq yəhwōlēl ḥāḵām wî’abēḏ ’eṯ-lēḇ matānâ:

AC	ז כי העשק יהולל חכם ויאבד את לב מתנה
ASV	Surely extortion maketh the wise man foolish; and a bribe destroyeth the understanding.
BE	The wise are troubled by the ways of the cruel, and the giving of money is the destruction of the heart.
Darby	Surely oppression maketh a wise man mad, and a gift destroyeth the heart.
